The organizers of the 17th International Symposium on Toxicity Assessment are pleased to welcome you to Bellingham, WA, USA. Abstracts related to field- and lab-based environmental toxicity assessment, monitoring, modeling, remediation, risk assessment, management, scientific communication of toxicity information, and advances in toxicity reduction are acceptable. We are particularly interested in emerging issues, such as linking climate change to toxicology, nanotoxicology, microplastics, and strategies to reduce pollutant release. Puget Sound and Salish Sea specific work, especially in the areas of fossil fuel transportation and tribal perspectives on environmental toxicology, will also be welcome.

Participants intending to contribute papers can submit with our on-line submission system. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words. Although the official deadline for abstract submission was 15 May 2015, we will continue to accept submissions for oral and poster presentations. Authors will specify whether they prefer oral presentation or poster display.

The Symposium Secretariat will inform participants of acceptance of oral/ poster presentation as soon as possible after abstract submission closes. Abstract will be taken away if no registration is confirmed by 31 May 2015.

Selected papers will be published in the international journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research, published by Springer. Authors wishing to have their article considered for publication in this special issue must submit the final text of their manuscript in the format required by the Journal and according to a time-frame specified by the International Coordinating Committee. All submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed according to Journal guidelines.
