Abstract

Prologue: Aller en France, c’etait en grande partie pour des buts personnels. Je voulais mieux comprendre le monde, et ma place la-dedans. Comme toute jeune femme de vingt ans. Je voulais comprendre ce que c’est etre americain, fran^ais, et toute autre nationalite. Je voulais savoir ne pas renoncer a mon propre pays ; je voulais pouvoir habiter n’importe quel pays. A cet instant dans ma vie ou rien n’^tait certain pour le futur, une eruption complexe de conflit s’est fait montree au monde. C’etait le declenchement de la guerre en Irak, provoquee par les Etats-Unis. C’etait une 6ventuelle revelation ou tout prejug6 et toute emotion humaine de nos jours se sont retrouves d’un coup a la surface, mis au monde par I’occasion de se passionner pour ou contre un pays.
