Abstract
On December 14th, 2024, sixteen humans launched from Lee’s Ferry, AZ on a 25-day river expedition through the Grand Canyon along the Colorado River. After 226 river miles, 42 major rapids, 21 camps, and 4 layovers, they were invited to submit reflections, poems, essays, or photos from their time spent in, and with, the canyon. This project, Becoming Creatured, is the resulting creative conglomerate showcasing the profound impact of river spaces, community, and belonging to each other and to the land.
