Abstract

This past spring and summer, I have taken part in an internship with the City of Granite Falls, working in the planning department. I have taken 5 internship credits throughout the spring and summer quarters, as well as having been paid for my work over the summer. The primary focus of the internship was assis􀆟ng the City with their comprehensive plan update, which is due in December of 2024. I worked on upda􀆟ng the Housing Element and Climate Change sec􀆟on of the City’s comprehensive plan and dra􀅌ing updates to the municipal code. With Granite Falls being a small town with a one-person planning department, I primarily worked independently on my various projects.
