Abstract
I started this internship in the summer as a Nooksack River Steward with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA). Then transitioned to the Community Program Intern in the fall. Both of these internships fall under NSEA's Future Leaders of Whatcom Waters (FLOW) programming that focuses on workstream restoration, environmental education, as well as community outreach. I have been able to gain many skills from being a part of these internships from engaging with the public to teaching 4th grade students. As well as working with community members to help restore salmon habitats to enjoying salmon sightings.
