Abstract
The purpose of participating in an internship was for me to develop my scientific skills to better prepare me for future jobs in the environmental science field. I applied for this job because it seemed like a great opportunity to get hands on experience with field work and to learn more about the process of research for graduate school. It offered a range of tasks that allowed me to be self-leading for parts of the project that I would be working on.
