Abstract
Jefferson County is currently updating the elements of their comprehensive plan. The purpose of my internship this quarter was to make opportunities for community engagement by creating and distributing surveys that are specific to the various elements of the plan. With the supervision of Emily Calkins and collaboration with my peer Josh Khan, we created surveys about the land use element of the comprehensive plan. These surveys will be distributed to the public to better understand the opinions and feelings that the residents of Jefferson County hold towards these topics. Later in the summer the county will analyze and implement feedback as reasonable, which will be part of my work in the next couple of months.
