Abstract
During my summer internship with the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group (HCSEG) as a Sustainable Farm Education Intern, I contributed to the organization’s mission of restoring wild salmon populations through education, research, and restoration. I spent the majority of my time outdoors caring for the garden, managing weeds, tending to farm animals, and assisting with salmon monitoring. These tasks gave me hands-on experience with the interconnections between farming, water quality, and restoration while also growing my personal skills and strengths.
