Welcome to the inaugural issue of Huxley College's graduate journal,Summit to Salish Sea: Inquiries and Essays. This exciting collection of student's capstones represents a major step in this program's evolution. The power and value of student work is exemplified by their passion and attention to advocacy. In this volume you will find explorations of environmental education (EE) through a profoundly personal inquiry of gender, critiques of current practices, early childhood orientations to EE, power in storytelling, materialism within education, explorations of place, french language as ecoliteracy, and ideas of inspiration.
