Innovations in Green Infrastructure
Presentation Abstract
The use of Green Infrastructure for a number of related stormwater management purposes is quickly gaining traction across North America. As this happens the boundaries of what is termed "Green Infrastructure" are being stretched. Drawing on more than 35years of experience in stormwater planning, design and implementation, this session will profile several examples from across North America to demonstrate the application of Green Infrastructure to improve stormwater quality, reduce runoff volume and increase urban resiliency to climate change. The evolution of Green Infrastructure design criteria will be presented along with site-specific examples to demonstrate the effective implementation of Green Infrastructure projects in dense urban settings, including small lot infill and multi-family residential developments.
