Abstract

Our hero, Guenevere, and her horse, Magnus, travel to slay a dragon terrorizing their kingdom. Along the way they encounter monsters that stand in their way, overcoming each one together--with some outside help from other animals. In this unfinished fairytale, Lucy Hodson uses footnotes paired with characters, colors, objects, and events to revive meanings found in bestiaries and beliefs held by people during the 13th-15th centuries.
