Abstract
This paper provides an outline for how a prerequisite course to HNRS 490, Senior Project, would function. The paper provides descriptions of similar courses that other universities have implemented and suggests revisions to the curriculum in the Honors Program at Western Washington University accordingly. The paper discusses the use of Canvas, collaboration with the on-campus Research-Writing Studio, proposal writing, and striking a balance between field-specific and interdisciplinary research and learning environments.
