Abstract
A novella about living in a cottage in the mountains and making friends with the wolf in the woods. Camellia comes to a tiny town in the mountains looking for her friend Rowan, who went missing a few months before. The last place they were known to be was their grandmother's old house way back in the woods. The town, meanwhile, has heard howling in those woods, and has warned their children not to walk alone at night near the forest. By developing mood and character through description, I use this story as a medium to explore queer relationships, isolation, and the power of family and home.
