Abstract
This paper explores the Cottagecore movement through its historical predecessors, its connection to modern movements, and the issues found within the movement. As a relatively new movement, Cottagecore is still developing, the trend is pulling from early versions of escapist rural art and aiming to incorporate a wide variety of topics, including, but not limited to, feminism, ant-capitalism, environmentalism, and queer culture.
