Abstract
This portfolio aims to explore the uncanny in the form of small, fable-like fragments. Taking influence from the short fiction of authors such as Brian Evenson and Carmen Maria Machado, the seven pieces collected here fall into the intersection of the Weird and the Gothic, with elements of folk horror, body horror, and eco-horror. This project, rather than a polished and publishable collection, is a cumulative, ever-evolving representation of my undergraduate work in creative writing.
