Abstract
In traditional journalism the use of anonymous sources is a debated issue. Many media outlets don’t allow the use of anonymous sources in journalistic articles. The ability to remain anonymous can more often than not be the defining factor when it comes to whether they’re willing to speak to a journalist or not. As a way to devolve from this rule, seven participants were interviewed anonymously about different aspects of their lives. The hope was to find out just how much people are willing to share under the guise of anonymity. There was also a secondary hope for this project, to show that even across many walks of life, people experience a similar story. To achieve this, interviews were cut up and stitched back together to create one larger narrative, a collection of stories culminating in one story: our story. Visuals were designed to complement the tone and nostalgic feel of the audio. The video is sectioned into four parts: family, childhood, relationships, and reflections.
