Abstract

This Is Not Accessible (T.I.N.A.) is a student-led project that seeks to bring awareness to areas that lack accessibility and/or inclusion across Western Washington University’s campus in Bellingham, WA. We do so by marking physical barriers with our T.I.N.A. stickers—4.5-inch, white, circular stickers with a thick red border, red text that reads “THIS [blank space] IS NOT ACCESSIBLE,” and a QR code that connects to our Linktree and Instagram. At the end of the day, T.I.N.A. is a community of Western students, alumni, faculty, and staff, outside professionals, and interested individuals who are committed to keeping the conversation about accessibility on campus alive and moving forward. This paper introduces T.I.N.A., breaks down how the disability rights movement and the ADA have inspired our work, and shares a bit of what’s in store for the future.
