Abstract
No Place for You is a hybrid collection that combines the conventions of autobiography and fiction. Though rendered in chronological order, the narrative is divided into three distinct parts: The Desert, Abroad, and The Pacific Northwest. Each section strives to map out a personal geography, as we follow the narrator through the landscapes that have transformed her. While navigating the tricky terrain of growing up, she reflects on her relationships with the natural world, others, and herself.
