Abstract
This poetry collection explores the complex mythological figure of Helen of Troy. Each of the seven poems was inspired by ancient source material, ranging from the 8th-4th century BCE, invoking the subject of Helen of Troy. The poems explore the various ways in which Helen of Troy was depicted in archaic and classical Greek texts and reflect on the legacies of strong women within patriarchal societies.
